Apple Raisin Stuffing

3 cups pared, cored, diced apples

1 cup light or dark raisins

1 cup minced onions

1½ teaspoons salt

¾-cup melted butter or margarine

7 cups day-old bread crumbs or ½-inch squares, lightly packed

1/8-teaspoon pepper

¼-cup sugar

Combine all ingredients; mix well. It's enough to stuff neck and body cavity of 10-pound bird.
