It's time to get out and either enjoy the gorgeous bike/walking path along the river, while watching the boats pass by, or just stroll, bike, or drive around the area, and soak in the beauty that many locals have provided for you - in our all of our Parks and the Sports Complex, as well as that fantastic people watching spot, the Boat Launch. You may even "hitch" a ride, like I did, with one of our avid fisherman and see our city from the water...or let's get out our water toys and enjoy the fun...still just $5.00 to launch a boat.
The locals that give their time and expertise have joined together through many organizations that interface with our City Teams to implement a GROUP VISION that gives all of us a - ONE OF A KIND - experience to enjoy, and I hope that you thank them for making CR a destination that Visitors don't take for granted, as they visit, and we shouldn't either.
This week I'd like to highlight one of those groups: THE CASTLE ROCK CITY COUNCIL that regularly meets for about an hour or so twice a month...Next meeting is at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, March 24, at the Senior Center (behind City Hall). At those meetings, we are encouraged to share in the plan by getting involved. We are able to interface with the officials there, that we elected, and support them with fresh ideas - because they are the main team supporting our vision.
THE TOWN CRIER, also, attends those meetings regularly, and we try hard to be fair and balanced through our Editor, Stephen Floyd, but we encourage your involvement, too, so that we may cover what you want us to cover. Our Mayor and City Council members "in action" is quite refreshing, and all City Departments are also faithfully represented.
Agendas for the meetings are found (1) at the Library, (or when closed on the window next to the door of the library), or (2) the Post Office Bulletin Board (on parking lot side). The Agendas are posted 24 hours before a meeting. (Usually posted on late Friday afternoon for the Monday evening meetings, or (3) through the Internet, just search for Castle Rock Washington and obtain lots of excellent information including Agendas. For the "frugal" THIS IS A NO-CHARGE EVENT twice a month - Entertaining, Informative and Very Special.
Don't forget our Senior Center too, for fun activities, special lunches and events, and the Exhibit Hall, which houses our Heritage, but please don't sit inside on these beautiful days - get out and take a fresh look at all that has been accomplished, and till next week - let me hear from you by PHONE OR TEXT (360) 749-7144...EMAIL at email@example.com or mail me your announcements @ POBOX630 in Castle Rock WA 98611.
Remember – TOWN CRIER IS FREE TO YOU, THANKS TO ADVERTISING, SO CONTACT ME ABOUT YOUR ADS, ALSO, AND WE WILL TRY OUR BEST TO DO A GOOD JOB FOR YOU.
