The cause of the fire at the Cranberry Road Winery remains a mystery as investigations are still on-going and won't be complete until at least mid-December, according to the Westport Fire Department. The brewery burned down on the night of Tuesday, November 24 in a fire that left the building completely charred on the outside, the insides left barren and burnt up. The owners will be out an estimated $2 million with the loss.
When the fire crew was dispatched at around 6 pm, the crew found the brewery to be engulfed in flames entirely and the fire was eventually quelled around 10pm the same day. There were no injuries.
