Vader man booked for assisting runaway
A Vader man has been arrested for rendering criminal assistance to a teenaged runaway, according to the Lewis County Sheriff's Office.
Miguel A. Valdivia, 18, was contacted April 12 on the 100 block of Spring Ct., in Vader, after detectives received a tip that a runaway who had been the subject of an ongoing investigation was at a residence in the area. The runaway in question was located at the residence, while Valdivia was located attempting to hide in the back yard.
After being questioned, he was booked into the Lewis County Jail for second-degree rendering criminal assistance.
Kelso man booked after local drug arrest
A Kelso man has been arrested for meth possession after a traffic stop in Vader, according to the Lewis County Sheriff's Office.
Robery D. Hyatt Jr., 44, was pulled over April 10 on the 100 block of Annonen Rd. and was taken into custody for third-degree driving while license suspended. A subsequent search located a bottle with white residue on his person, which field-tested positive for meth.
He was then booked into the Lewis County Jail for possession of methamphetamine.
Winlock man arrested for vehicular assault
A Winlock man has been arrested for allegedly assaulting his sister with a car over the weekend, according to the Lewis County Sheriff's office.
Daniel F. Dixson, 19, was arrested April 12 after allegedly striking his 26-year-old sister "several times" with his vehicle as she stood in the driveway of their residence on the 100 block of Deer Haven Dr. Dixson had fled the scene when deputies responded but was later located by Kelso PD and booked into the Lewis County Jail for second-degree domestic assault.

Chainsaw stolen from Toledo shed
Authorities are investigating the theft of a chainsaw near Toledo over the weekend, according to the Lewis County Sheriff's office.
Sometime between April 10 and 11, an unknown number of suspects forcibly entered a tool shed on the 600 block of Jackson Hwy., south of Toledo, and stole a Poulan chainsaw, valued at $200.
