This year has been an exciting year for HAVA. We opened this community's FIRST animal shelter on October 12 and have a full house already! If you are between the ages of 18-100, love animals (especially cats), are a people/animal oriented person and have some time to spare, we'd love to talk with you about joining us as we move ahead with the shelter and the many other projects we are involved in. The HAVA board is a working board. Board members volunteer at various events as they are able, help manage and volunteer at the shelter whenever possible, help with special events during the year (Pacific County Fair, Willapa Harbor Festival, Labor Day) and assist us with fundraising including our annual Spring Tea. Each board member also helps to answer the HAVA telephone on a rotating basis and may be asked, on occasion, to help transport animals to veterinarians in the area. The board meets once a month in Raymond. If you are interested in joining the board, please contact Dee Roberts, President HAVA at 360.589.9451.
