It is presented by the Grays Harbor Music Teachers Association. There is no admission charge; however, donations will be received to raise scholarship funds for college music students from Grays Harbor and Pacific Counties.
Seth Hollen, a current scholarship recipient, is returning to the Harbor to perform at the Musicale. Known for his many roles in the 7th Street Kids and at Grays Harbor College, Seth’s most recent role in Grays Harbor was as the Phantom in the GHC production of the “Phantom of the Opera”. He is currently a Music Theater student at Central Washington University.
Also performing are teachers and community musicians Christine Hill and Ken Albert, vocalists; Merry Jo Zimmer, Karen Meikle and Jenny Leighton, a piano and strings trio; Erica Hollen, pianist; Connie Bevington and Beth Ginther, duo flutists; and the KCPC duo, Ray Kahler, clarinetist, and Ellen Pickell, pianist.
Last year’s Musicale raised over $5,000.00 to help several music students. Carly Bouma, Ryan Catron and Seth Hollen are using their scholarships at Seattle Pacific University, Grays Harbor College and Central Washington University.
The Musicale will be followed by a reception featuring O’Brien’s famous gourmet desserts.
