When Navy Band Northwest rolls into Raymond May 31, a legion of veterans will be on hand to meet, greet and honor the musicians.

American Legion Post 150 of Raymond is hosting the 2015 Red, White and Blue concert at the Raymond Theatre, 323 Third St. The doors open at 1:15 for the 2 pm. performance. The concert is free, but attendees must show either a complimentary ticket, available at local sources, or their Sunday Afternoon Live season ticket.

Before the music begins, the musicians will share a meal with, and prepared by, Post and Auxiliary members at the Post, 221 Duryea St.

When the music begins, local and regional American Legion leaders will be among those in the audience, along with Raymond Mayor Jason Dunsmoor and South Bend Mayor Julie Struck.

Legion dignitaries include 10th District Commander Theresa Byrne, Post 150 Commander Charles Benedict and Post 150 Adjutant Ken Grimm. Legion members assisting in the program include Tom Giamica, Mike Thamnavongsa, Bob Beck, Terry Capps and Les Edersheim, who will be emcee for the event. The lunch will be prepared and served by Donna Olsen and her crew.

The concert was arranged through Sunday Afternoon Live. Sunday Afternoon Live volunteers for the event include Virginia Wallace, Sally Hamill, Ann Brown and Joyce Craig.

All will be there to honor the active-duty band for their commitment to our country. The band will be there to honor those who have served as well as to offer professional entertainment. It's a win-win opportunity.

Complimentary tickets have been available at Sagen's in Raymond, South Bend Pharmacy, the Raymond Theatre and American Legion Post 150.
