New dance center in Winlock

Winlock Dance Center will be having their Grand Opening this Saturday, July 27 from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Robin Brumley is the new owner of the location formerly occupied by First Street Styling. Robin just moved to the area from San Diego, California and recently purchased the building. She has been busy getting it ready for her new dancers.

Robin has an adventurous side, she decided to go to Seattle from San Diego for New Years Eve. On her return to California, she got off the train in Centralia and knew she had found her new home.

Robin has a bachelor's degree in liberal arts with a focus on dance. She has experience in tap, ballet, jazz, modern, hip hop, tumbling, ballroom along with health and fitness.

Robin has owned dance studios in the past. She has been dancing for 30 years. She has 22 years as a professional dancer and 16 years as a professional instructor. Robin will also give private lessons for those not wanting to participate in a class environment.　

Robin decided to make her dance center home here in Winlock. She stated, "When I came to do the trial introduction free dance day in March. I was thoroughly impressed with the quality of people that showed up. The kids had a great work ethic and the right attitude. The community showed me they wanted this with open arms. I felt I could bring something fun and positive to the community."

If you haven't met Robin, you are missing out. She is very positive and brings a burst of energy with her. She is going to be an asset for this community and to the students who learn under her. She is excited to be a part of the community and we are happy to see someone with so much excitement come to Winlock. Welcome to Winlock Robin, we wish you years of success.

Grand Opening Schedule - Free Dance Classes

11:40 a.m. - noon - Werk It - ages 14 & up (body weight based workout)

12:15 p.m. - 12:30 p.m. - Pre-School Dance - ages 3-5

1:00 p.m. - 1:20 p.m. - Hip-Hop - ages 5-7

2:00 p.m. - 2:20 p.m. - Hip-Hop - ages 8-10

3:00 p.m. - 3:20 p.m. - Hip-Hop - ages 9-13

3:40 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. - Just Dance - ages 14 & up (Cardio dance workout)

Event runs 11:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. - Also featuring a DJ, Raffle, Free Food and More!
