Raymond's volleyball season halted at the District IV 2B Volleyball Tournament in an incredibly close loser-out match at the hands of Friday Harbor in five sets, 25-16, 31-33, 25-27, 26-24 and 15-13, last Wednesday at Tenoski Gym in Menlo.
Raymond's season ended with an overall record of 14-3 under head coach Bob Swogger.
The Lady Seagulls were hampered by a shoulder injury to their best player, Karlee Freeman, who played despite the injury. Hailee Smith led the Gulls in scoring with 20 kills. Freeman had 17 kills and Winter Newman had 10 kills. Aubree Gardner added 7 kills and Cydney Flemetis handed out 54 assists.

Willapa Valley dropped its district match in five games versus Onalaska, 21-25, 25-17, 25-21, 21-25, 15-10, at Koplitz Field House in South Bend, also Wednesday in an elimination match.
The Vikings of head coach Lori Snodgrass closed out the year with a winning record of 10-7.
Valley's lone senior, Brooke Spoor, spearheaded the Vikings' attack with 26 kills and 6 blocks. Grace Hodel scored 5 kills and 4 blocks. Hannah Cook had 14 digs and Abby Hodel had 10 digs.
