After the melted snow (it was beautiful while it lasted) and recent rain, I expect we’ll see budding bulbs and buds popping up soon. I say that as I look at the bulbs that I thought I’d get planted this time last year…

Stephen would like to extend the invitation to play Backgammon to anyone in the reading audience. That’s Wednesdays at 2 p.m. in the Café. They can offer hot or cold (non-alcoholic) beverage and a cookie or two, if that makes the trip more inviting.

I’m looking forward to Friday evening’s dinner at the Café, which will be Slow-Cooked Pot Roast with all the trimmings. Call Linda at 295-0875 to make or break reservations. I was sorry to miss the banquet at the Church, but heard it was a beautiful meal in every way. What a contribution to the Community.

Saturday is the next "Open Mic", and I just want to say how impressed I was at the last one. Starting with the number of in- and out-of-towners who showed up with all the snow that was falling, then the entertainment was over-the-top! What a wonderful way to spend a snowy Saturday night. My golf cart goes great in the snow!

Hot on the heels of that night’s music is Karaoke on Monday evening starting at 6:30 p.m. Sherry is back on track and you can expect a lot of fun and great music. Come early and enjoy delicious burgers and/or soup.

The menu for Tuesday’s "Nutrition Lunch" is Lasagna with Sicilian Veggies, Caesar Salad and Garlic Bread. As Jan says, "You can’t go wrong for $2.50!" Even with the expected raise in the "Suggested Donation", it is always been OK to support the service and "Pay it forward". Call Jan at 295-0597 to make or break reservations.
