The big Thanksgiving Dinner is on Thursday and it doesn’t get any better than that. It is truly a Community event that is a tradition for my family. When asked what they want to do for Thanksgiving, the grandboys will respond, “Go to Ryderwood, of course!”
The Town is looking festive and will become more so in the next few days. The winter banners are hung, lights are going up at residences and around Town along with fresh greenery. Thanks to all who take such pride in our little village.

Christmas Party news! The time will be Monday, Dec. 16, at 6:30 p.m. and it will be in the Auditorium. The theme for the Party is “It’s A Wonderful Life” – everybody’s holiday favorite! There will be theme gifts and prizes as well as Gift Certificates and good old $. There will be trivia questions about the movie, so watching it first might be a good thing. Preparations for this year’s Holiday Cheer Bag project are in full swing. Sponsored each year by the Ryderwood Women’s Club Elves, 25 households receive special gifts. The Elves will wrap and prep Wednesday, Dec. 18, at 10 a.m. in Community Hall. Volunteers welcome. Delivery will take place the following Saturday. Contact Joyce at (360) 295-0808
There will be Karaoke this Monday evening at the Café. It starts at 6:30 a.m. with hostess Sherry – come early and enjoy scrumptious burgers (beef, chicken or veggie) and homemade or home-style soups.
