To the Editor:
With the holiday season approaching, the Pennywise Thrift Store is preparing for its annual Christmas Bazaar. As most of you know now our shop has moved and is now found on Duryea Street between the American Legion and what was Jensen's Furniture. Through the graciousness of the buildings new owner, we are able to present our bazaar in that building. This will allow more room to display all the wonderful items that we have this year.
The bazaar will be on Friday and Saturday, November 20th and 21st. However, this presents a problem for us. We have a wonderful staff of dedicated volunteers to whom I am most grateful for. But, unfortunately, there are not enough of us to run our thrift store as well as continue to make our Christmas items available to everyone beyond those two days.
For the first time, the Pennywise Store would like to ask for seasonal assistance. Anyone who would be interested in assisting us to continue with our efforts to make our bazaar available through the holiday season would be encouraged to contact Evelyn Coburn at 942-5095.
Volunteers are a very important in our town and they service many aspects of our community. Please come and help.
