Winlock Egg Day is this Saturday
By Lynnette Hoffman
Hard to believe the big weekend is here, this Saturday. Winlock Egg Days kick's off on Friday night with the coronation of the Egg Day Queen. Then on Saturday, the town stays open until the last bar closes. Winlock residents and former residents have always looked forward to Egg Day.
For many who reside here and classmates who graduated from Winlock, almost consider this a mini reunion.
Friday night begins with the Queen's Coronation, which takes place at the Winlock Community Building. This has been a tradition for decades. There will be an Egg Day Queen crowned, unfortunately at press time, we have not received the names.
Saturday is the big day. It always starts with a pancake breakfast at the Winlock Olequa Senior Center, then it's time for the car show and so much more. The parade starts at 11:00 a.m. and vendors will be available as well.
During the day, businesses will be open. Gifts to purchase are at the Winlock Flower Shop and Winlock Farmers Market. Don't forget to stop at the Winlock Historical museum as there are many new items. Several restaurants/bars will have live music on Friday night.
Below is the schedule for the day, we look forward to seeing you there!
