The Winlock Boys Youth Baseball will be taking sign-ups at the Winlock Miller Elementary Cafeteria Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon. On Tuesday the Winlock Soccer Club will be doing the same, but from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Good luck, guys!

The Olequa Senior Center’s schedule has changed temporarily as Lewis County seeks to hire a new manager. They are currently open Wednesdays and Fridays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., with lunch being served at noon. Also, on Wednesdays there is dollar-store bingo right after lunch.

On Saturday the Senior Center will be hosting their BIG BIG Breakfast from 8 to 10:30 a.m. In addition to pancakes, they will be serving biscuits and gravy, hash browns, eggs, and sausages. There will be a choice of orange juice and coffee. This is a great, substantial breakfast for the very reasonable price of $5. For more information on this or future events, call (360) 785-4325.

The Hope Grange would like to extend their gratitude once again to Chris Carroll and Les Vian, who were presented plaques recently as Grangers of the Year. Les has been particularly active by setting up the kitchen for the past year’s events, and Chris is celebrating 50 years of Grange activities and support. Thanks again, you two.

Don’t forget to hit the Winlock Timberland Library on Valentine’s Day for their bake sale! Or that the library and school will be closed on Presidents Day, which this year is set for Monday, Feb. 18.
