and Jason Oatman, 24, were sent two men to Western State Hospital for competency restoration, which means they were incapable of assisting in their defense, so the prosecutors sent them to the hospital for mental health treatment to restore them to where they can. Hartke was arrested for assault with bail set at $10,000, and Oatman was arrested for harassment and also had bail set at $10 grand.
Chad Menard was sent to prison for 14 months following his guilty plea to attempting to elude a police office and for possession of methamphetamine. One year of his sentence was for the aggravating factor of endangering others during the pursuit. Had he merely eluded without the endangerment of the public, he would have only been eligible for a sentence between two and five months in county jail.
Mattias Josh Ganino, 30, had his child molestation case in the first degree continued for one week for a pre-trial hearing regarding the admissibility of statements he made and to amend the charges to include one count of incest in addition to the child molestation. This does not involve additional victims but rather the same victim, a relative. Ganino is being held in the county jail on $1 million bail.
The Sheriff’s Office and both police departments have been very active in jailing lawbreakers.
Steve D. Ostrander, 47, was locked up for criminal intent, reckless endangerment and obstructing a public servant last Monday (5-20). Sheriff Deputy Ron Davis made the arrest.
Ricardo Gomez, 38, was arrested on seven charges, including possession of a stolen vehicle (2 counts), obstructing a public servant, resisting arrest, use of drug paraphernalia, and possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver. His bail was set at $50,000 and Lucas Stigall of the Shoalwater Tribal Police arrested him.
Brigido Ramirez Hernandez, 26, went to jail for assault in the second degree and had his bail set at $75 grand. The RPD made the arrest.
Alan Jay Heckard, 46, was arrested for two counts of extortion, malicious mischief and telephone harassment. Deputy Sean Eastham made the arrest.
David S. Woods, 44, was arrested for theft of a motor vehicle with bail set at $20,000. Officer Jesse Eastham of the SBPD arrested him.
Ryan A. Anderson, 22, was arrested by the SBPD for theft of a motor vehicle and driving with a suspended license.
Dustin J. Scott, 29, was arrested by Raymond Officer Jarvis for possession of a dangerous weapon and obstructing a public servant.
Jeffrey Lee Alderton, 25, had his bail set at $25,000 after getting arrested by State Patrolman Macomber for two counts of assault in the second degree.
Glenna Ann Brock, 44, was popped by Deputy Biggs for seven counts of unlawful firearm possession.
Craig R. Gerdau, 28, was arrested by the RPD for malicious mischief last Tuesday (5-21).
Aaron Whitaker, 40, was arrested for fail to appear and was found with methamphetamine in his possession. Bail was set at $10,000. He was nabbed by the SBPD.
Mike L. Silva, 24, was arrested by the SBPD for failure to appear with bail set at $2,600.
Anthony L. Meza, 29, found himself in the pokey on a court ordered sentence from the sheriff’s office.
Larry A. Lewis, 40, spent time in jail after being arrested on two counts of fail to appear. The Dept. of Fish and Wildlife made the arrest.
Trish Stark, 25, was put in jail on two drug charges and a failure to comply warrant. Stark’s bail was set at $10,000 for the controlled substance charges I/II/III. Deputy Baker made the arrest.
Allen N. Davis, 29, was arrested by Sgt. Rich Pearson for domestic violence in the fourth degree.
