Toledo man disputes no-contact order
A Toledo man has been arrested following the service of a no-contact order June 4, according to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office.
Christopher R. Beecroft, 36, was contacted on the 100 block of Hopp Rd. N., east of Toledo, and told he was no longer allowed at the residence due to the order, but reportedly told deputies he was not leaving and told them to go, but was alter taken into custody.
Beecroft was booked into the Lewis County Jail for violation of a no-court order and resisting arrest.
Prowler steals wallet in Toledo
A vehicle prowler made off with a local resident’s wallet near Toledo last week, according to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office.
The theft took place sometime between 7:30 p.m. June 3 and 4 a.m. June 4 when the suspect broke into an unlocked car on the 400 block of Tucker rd., northeast of Toledo. The 27-year-old victim stated the wallet had contained a driver’s license, debit and credit car and rent money.
