The Willapa Valley Grange is pleased to sponsor a free community Emergency Preparedness Fair this Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Grange Hall located at 290 Camp One Road in Raymond.
Planning in advance is the first step to safely weathering an emergency or disaster. Learn how your family can prepare for a potential crisis with information and services provided by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Pacific County Emergency Management Agency (PCEMA), Pacific County Public Utility District (PUD), the Red Cross, Bud's Lumber and the Dennis Company.
Speaker Kevin Howerton will address Safely Generating Power During an Outage. Senja Antilla will present Organizing Your Vital Documents. Jeanette Sterling will speak to Preparing For Your Pet's Safety in Response to Disaster.
Public transportation services provided by Pacific Transit. Shuttle buses will pick up riders at 9:15 a.m. at the Community Center in South Bend, and at 9:40 a.m. at the Public Market/Carriage Museum parking lot in Raymond. Participants will be dropped off at the Grange at 10 a.m., with the return trip leaving the Grange at 4 p.m. Fare is $1 per person, round trip.
