A tip of the fire helmet to the Raymond Fire Department, for producing another triple alarm chili for the South Bend Kiwanis Scholarship Fund Chili Cook-Off.
Returning co-defenders of the 2014 Chili Cook-Off crown swept the field with a clear victory over the five other gallant entries. To earn this honor, Raymond Fire needed to obtain the popular vote over their co-winners of last year (The Pacific County 4-H Club) and three new comers.
The South Bend Kiwanis also gives a hearty shout out to the remaining contestants: The South Bend Boy Scouts, The Willapa Harbor Hospital and the Willapa Lanes Restaurant, who gave their all in supporting the Scholarship Fund.
The South Bend Kiwanis Scholarship Fund provides money for graduating high school students and students currently in post-secondary schools.
The South Bend Kiwanis would like to thank all the participants, and all those who attended the Cook-Off and look forward to an equally competitive Cook-Off next year!
