Cattermole Funeral Home's new owner as of January 1 of this year is Jeff Dorothy, a lifetime resident of Winlock. He is the son of Dick and Delores Dorothy. He lives with Michaelea Gottschalk and has three children, Angel, Jessica, and Leah, and four grandchildren. Jeff was graduated from Mt. St. Helens High School in 1980 and soon began acquiring his knowledge and experience in the funeral business by working for Brown's Funeral Home.
"I always wanted to own a funeral home," Jeff explained. "I had the opportunity to buy Cattermole's, and I jumped at the chance. We are here to provide affordable services to the community. We offer services for all of SW Washington; we want to be here for the families."
Jeff personally knows most of the people he helps with arrangements, and he takes special care in assisting every person who comes in to discuss funeral arrangements. He is someone you know will be there to help you through one of the most difficult times in your life. Jeff has always had a kind disposition and it shows in the way he handles each service.
Cattermole is the only locally owned and operated funeral home in the area. They offer traditional services, cremations, and celebrations of life. They cater to the individual and the needs of the family 24/7, seven days a week.
Jeff further stated: "We also have insurance in-house, preplanning of your own services, it takes the burden off the family at the worst time."
