Dr. Sloan was born in Bogota, Colombia, received her medical degree in Colombia and had the opportunity to work in various settings including large cities, small towns and in very rural areas of the Country. She also worked for the Air Force and the police, which enabled her to received additional emergency medical training in Israel.
Dr. Sloan came to the United States in 2000 and worked as a medical interpreter at Harborview Hospital in Seattle before completing her residency in family medicine at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida. She has worked at various clinics in the Seattle area operated by the Sea Mar Community Health Centers for the past five years.
Dr. Sloan has a special interest in woman’s health issues as well as pediatric patients, but welcomes all age groups and she speaks Spanish as well as French and Italian. She and her husband and son have fallen in love with the Washington scenery and enjoy outdoor activities.
