Sunday is Flag Day and our VFW and AMVETS veterans will hold a Flag Retirement Ceremony at the Memorial Garden at 2 p.m. Deposit old and worn flags in the container inside Community Hall for proper and honorable disposal. This is always a moving ceremony.

The suggested donation is $3 per meal; take-outs and substitutions are available with advance notice. Call (360) 295-3813 or (360) 295-0597 before 6 p.m. the preceding Monday to make or break reservations. For all the new folks in town, this is a great opportunity to meet your neighbors.
Ryderwood's Second Annual Ryderwood Sock Hop will be on Saturday, June 20. Local DJ, Steve, will spin your favorite Rock 'n' Roll favorites from 1 to 5 p.m. in the Community Hall Auditorium. Dig out the bobby socks and saddle oxfords (or not) and enjoy a fun-filled afternoon. Everyone is invited to stay for the Potluck dinner that follows at 5 p.m. The Tip Jar will be donated to the Café.
