Toledo Lions net record crowd at fishing derby

More than 260 kids gathered around Wallace Pond Saturday for the Toledo Lions Club's annual Kids Fishing Derby, doubling attendance over last year. While the previous record of a 28.75-ounce trout was not broken, 9-year-old angler Inara McNew was able to at least match the weight and took home a brand new rod and reel, among other prizes awarded that day.

Other winners included second place for a 26.5-ounce trout caught by 10-year-old Morrison Nettleland, third place for a 22.25-ounce trout caught by 8-year-old Madalynn Inman, and largest "other" fish for a 30-ounce bass caught by 11-year-old Dylan Zigler.
