Last Tuesday (Oct. 7), the Vikes cruised past the Lady Fisherman of Ilwaco 25-13, 25-15, 25-12.
" We played more consistently as a team in this match," WVHS Head Volleyball Coach Lori Snodgrass told the Herald. "Sidney Pollard set up all of our hitters, with every hitter on the team ending the night with at least a kill. Brooke Spoor had eight kills and six blocks. Karli Friese had six kills, and Kate Rockett went 13 of 13 from the service line."
Last Thursday Rainier visited Tenoski Gym and went home with a 25-17, 25-11, 26-24 defeat at the hands of the Menlo-based team.
"Although we missed some serves in the third game, we came away with a 3-game win," Snodgrass said. "Kate Rockett came up with 6 solo blocks on the night and our team hit with more power than they have done all year. Brooke Spoor had 10 kills on the night. Our defensive specialists, Itzia Ruelas and Itzia Naranjo, did a good job of getting the passes up to our setter."
Willapa Valley entertained Life Christian Tuesday, visits Ocosta tomorrow, and hosts Northwest Christian in a big league showdown match Tuesday (Sept. 21).
