A Port Orchard resident had driven off the roadway four miles south of Montesano on State Route 107 on Thursday, January 21 at around 1:02pm. The driver was driving a truck and trailer with a tanker on the back of it.
The driver veered off of the roadway and traveled through a grassy ditch to meet with a dirt embankment, causing the vehicle to roll onto it's side.
The vehicle laid in the northbound lane, blocking the roadway for around fourteen hours. Meanwhile a detour route was established on Blue Slough Road.
Another trailer wreckage happened Thursday, January 21 three miles south of Aberdeen on the Westport highway around 10am.
A driver from Pendelton, OR, was driving a truck and trailer traveling northbound. The truck entered a curve in a construction zone at an unsafe speed. The trailer brakes locked up causing the trailer to jack knife, striking a Department of Transportation flagger.
